Saturday, July 16th, Downtown Toms River presents Summer in the Streets with live entertainment, kid’s games, face painting, crafters and plenty of food vendors. The sponsored programs take place right in the middle of downtown on Washington Street and are designed to enhance community relations for local residents, tourists and business professionals.
Toms River Farmers Market
Finding savoring produce at the peak of freshness and meeting the individuals in your community who grow your food makes a trip to the farmers market fulfilling in more ways than one. The downtown Toms River Farmers Market is located at the south corner of Irons & West Water Streets and runs every Wednesday 11:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. through November 16th. Find your favorite seasonal fruits, vegetables, plants, herbs, fresh baked goods, smoothies, handmade soaps and much more…fresh from the farm.
Seaside Heights Beach Camping
Back by popular demand, on July 28th and August 11th you have the opportunity to camp on the beach under the stars listening to the ocean waves crashing right outside your tent. This event is free but you must register in advance to get your campsite reserved on the beach.
Cruisin’ Downtown Toms River
Check out all the classic cars, trucks and motorcycles dating prior to 1986 at Toms River Crusin’ Downtown. Stroll by the event lining Washington Street in front of town Hall and the Ocean County Library to see all the vintage automobiles the second Wednesday of the month through September, from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Parks in Toms River
Take your kids to one of these 14 public parks in Toms River for an afternoon adventure. From lighted basketball courts, tennis courts, shuffleboard, soccer fields, gazebos, hiking, fishing and endless playgrounds, you’re sure to find one that suits all ages.
